All About Fender Amps And Examples Of The Same

Clarence Leo Fender is the man behind the world famous fender amps which are famous for their good quality and great sound. He had some knowledge of vacuum tube electronics and was a self taught electronics expert. He had a repair shop where he made and sold public address systems and musical instruments he made himself. This is where he got the idea of fender amps and he teamed up with Kauffman to aid him in this. His business was really promoted by Hawaiian and western swing music which made demand for his amplifiers to explode and the rest, as they say is history.

The very first fender amps were made in Fullerton in the mid 1940s and its first name was K&F Manufacturing and the next was Fender Champion 600 and later Fender Champion 800. The earliest fender amps were designed with great sound in mind and since the transistor had not yet been invented in those years, an RCA amplifier circuit was used to make the amp. The tube amplifier circuit has been modified many times and a lot of improvements have been made over the years, but the basic principal of operation, purpose, and application of the amp has not changed at all.

Fender amps are considered to be among the best and very competitive priced. Examples of fender amps of yester years and of today include Cheap Guitar Amps such as the fender deluxe which was among the first amps produced and was rated at 12 watts which was very impressive at the time. Another guitar amp is the fender ’57 twin tweed which is hard-wired all tube and gives out 40 watts of power and yet another is the fender super reverb amp and this is what was used when most African countries were fighting for independence in mid 1960s and these are known for their great sound.

The newer versions of fender amps include the fender twin which produces 50 watts of power and is an all tube amp having two 12 inches speakers, the hot rod deluxe which is a three channel, 40 watt guitar preferred by pros and the fender super sonic amp with 60 watts and a more complicated circuitry.

The newest kids in the block are mostly re-issues such as the fender champion 600 and the fender cyber-twin. One characteristic common to all fender amps, be they old or new, is their shape which is suite case like and the market does not seem to mind and is actually buying re-issues.

Today, the company offers an amazing variety and it seems that it is using the lessons learnt over the past 60 years well. The mixture of the old with the new with these amps is just amazing and Mr. Fender would be proud because his dream has been kept alive in the fender amps.
